Shine light on
jobs for disabled
To The Item Editor:
It was nice to see the paper got
pink in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. It was very
symbolic, nice job. October is also
National Disability Awareness
Month, as well.
It seems like everybody has a month.
Hopefully, we will see at least
some positive examples of success
stories when it comes to employing
the disabled. Shining a positive
light on employee-employer successes
empowers both parties to
work out mutually beneficial resolutions.
This reduces the burden
on taxpayer support while adding
to the tax base.
It is a win-win situation for
everybody.
Positive press coverage helps
break barriers and I look forward to
thanking the Item for doing its part.
